Last Night- Little Joy

I was at Old Smithes Bar last night to see the band Little Joy play. I got at the bar around 7ish. I called earlier asking what time the show started. The girl told me around 8pm and Little Joy will most likely go on around 9:30. How far from the truth... I was completely wasted by the time the second band started to play. Four dollar 24oz red stripe was too much of a good deal to refuse. Three bands performed before Little Joy none of which were my cup of tea. The third band did play Crimson and Clover which made me fuzzy. Around midnight the band I came to see finally got on stage. The wait was worth it. A charming set of lovely songs including my favorites from the self titled album. The Next Time Around, No One's Better Sake, and Unattainable were the ones that made the gig great. Binko was adorable singing her two songs Unattainable and Don't Watch Me Dancing while sipping her beer. The band was freakishly nice. One awnsered questions between songs about what instrument he was playing. They all signed my sign and the bassist had an amazing mustache. They're touring right now so go see a show!

I haven't been blogging in awhile. I decided to start again. I decided my first blog in 2 years to be about one of my favorite bands of all time. Brian Jonestown Massacre. If you haven't heard of this band i recommend you check them out. Or better yet rent or buy the Documentary DIG! I was able to see them live in Atlanta at Variety Playhouse in April. They were amazing. They played songs from my favorite record of theirs Strung Out In Heaven and one of my all time favorite songs Anenome.

Kate Moss's Collection for topshop came out only yesterday and its already half gone. Hundreds and hundreds of people stood outside the store in London for hours before opening to get the fashion icons clothing. Girls were almost fighting for pairs of skinny jeans and gladitor flats. Im so happy it is selling just wish not this quick.
